How to get to Montparnasse Tower

The Montparnasse Tower is located in the Montparnasse area on the left bank of the Seine in Paris, France.

The tower is built on the top of Montparnasse–Bienvenüe Paris metro station and is easily accessible by public transport.

By Metro

The Montparnasse Tower is located in Paris’s 15th arrondissement, easily accessible by metro.

The nearest Metro station is Montparnasse-Bienvenüe, served by Lines 4, 6, 12, and 13.

The station is only 100 meters from the Tower. It takes less than two minutes to walk there. 

By Bus

The nearest bus stop to the tower (Tour Montparnasse) is Gare Montparnasse.

You can take the following buses to reach Montparnasse Tower: 28, 58, 82, 88, 89, 91, 92, 94, 95 and 96

The tower is a 2 min walk from the bus stop.

By Walking

The Tower is a 15-minute walk from the Luxembourg Gardens and a pleasant 40-minute walk from Notre Dame. 

The route from Notre Dame to Montparnasse Tower goes through the Latin Quarter of Paris and is a terrific way to see the city!

By SNCF Train

You can also reach Montparnasse Tower by SNCF train. It is a convenient option if you’re arriving from another city in France. 

The nearest station is Gare Montparnasse (Paris-Montparnasse).

From the Airport

The Montparnasse Tower is 35.8 kilometers away from Paris airport. Here’s how you can get about it.

Option 1: 

Take the TGV train from Charles De Gaulle Airport to Saint-Michel-Notre-Dame. After you get off the train, you can catch a bus to Gare Montparnasse.

Take a train from the Aeroport Charles De Gaulle 2 TGV to the Gare Montparnasse.

Option 3: 

Take a bus from Paris – Aéroport Roissy CDG T2 to Paris – Gare Montparnasse.
