The best time to visit Montparnasse Tower is during the sunset.

You can see the city of love draped in lovely golden hues from 200 meters above ground level.

We recommend arriving half an hour before sunset to give yourself enough time to climb to the top of the tower and enjoy the sunset from its observation deck.

Aside from magnificent sunset views, you will also see the Paris skyline during the day and after the lights come on.

You can also enjoy a drink at the open-air rooftop bar while watching the sunset over Paris.

If you want to avoid the crowds and enjoy peace and quiet, go to the Montparnasse Tower as soon as it opens at 9.30 am.

If you can’t attend in the morning, visiting after 8 pm is the best time to avoid the crowds.

The Montparnasse Tower is crowded between 11 am and 3 pm and after 6 pm when many come to watch the sunset.
